GEM Model Binaries (Linux)
Two flavors of stand-alone GEM model binaries with MPICH2 and OPENMPI are distributed. These can be found here . Going this route will save you tons of time and get the feel for the model a whole lot sooner!
TEST run data set
Model Test run initial analysis and geophysical fields can be downloaded here and sample listings are located here .
Visualization
You can visualize the model output using either xrec or ncl. Both of these can be downloaded from here
